Fully Enjoying your Vacation Zanzibar

In order to enjoy anything that life gives you, you need to be in the right frame of mind. This is why a lot of us plan and book our holidays in advance. We get the chance to not only save and pay for the vacation, but we also get the opportunity to look forward to and anticipate the experience. A friend of mine decided that she wanted to go on a safari Zanzibar or somewhere similar. She booked her holiday (Zanzibar was the final choice) a whole year in advance.

When it comes to selecting a vacation Zanzibar is an excellent choice. You have the best of both worlds because there are the conveniences of modern life combined with the history of the olden days. The very name Zanzibar conjures up images of exotic places and people just waiting to be explored. The spices of Zanzibar are world famous and have been for centuries. There are miles and miles of beautiful beaches which are quiet and unspoilt and you can make your holiday as peaceful or as active as you wish to.

A vacation is something which we all look forward to and when you are planning on going somewhere as specials as Zanzibar, you need to make sure that you enjoy it to the fullest. This is why it is sensible to plan ahead and arrange an itinerary so that you do not miss anything important from the list of things that you wish to do and see. You can opt for a full beach holiday and spend the whole time relaxing and garnering your strength for another year at the normal routines of life. Alternatively, you can decide to be adventurous and go out and about to experience different activities, including deep see diving, snorkelling, kayaking and sightseeing.

Going for a vacation Zanzibar will ensure that you get to experience a totally different culture and cuisine than you will be used to. This could lead to some problems unless you are properly prepared and know what to be on the lookout for. One of the most popular things is a safari. Zanzibar has some amazing place to visit if you are interested in a safari holiday. Apart from idyllic beaches and resorts, there are also many alternatives to getting the full experience of the safari holiday.

Always make sure that you book with a reputable company as there are many fraudulent companies which will take your money and then give you a horrendous holiday experience. There is so much which can wrong while you are on holiday that you need to make sure that you have sufficient holiday insurance cover in case anything goes wrong. A lot of companies now use the internet for their promotions and even for the booking and reservations for everything. With these you need to be extra careful as booking a holiday Zanzibar is not cheap and can lead you to make mistakes. If all goes well, you will have a wonderful time.

Lake Manyara National Park safari is stretched over relatively small are of about 200 square kilometers located in the western ridge of the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania. This safari is none less than other Tanzanian safaris in terms of landscape, scenic beauty, and the diversity of wildlife seen in this park. You will find Manyara safari tour worth remembering forever. The landscape is composed of mountain slides, valleys, and a beautiful alkaline water lake surrounded by diverse plants and vegetation, which gives habitat to a large flock of flamingo, waterfowl and other bird species. Hot springs and ground water forest in this park also add to its splendour.

This wildlife park takes its name from “Manyara”, aMasai word, which refers to the Euphorbia Tirucalli plant. This plant is usually grown into a hedge around the Masairanches.

The unique feature of this safari is the sights of tree-climbing lions, which you hardly find at any other Tanzanian safaris. Other predators such as cheetah are also seen in this safari.

Coming Across an Advert for a Professional Hunter Tanzania

I was browsing through material on the internet last week and came across an interesting page which was displaying an advert for a professional hunter Tanzania and surrounding areas. This caught my attention because just the week before I had met a man who belonged to a group called TPHA which stands for the Tanzania Professional Hunters Association. This is body of people who are concerned with the ethics and practices of hunting Tanzania wildlife and was set up on 28th April 1966. Before this there was the EAPHA which stood for East African Professional Hunters Association and was set up on 12th April 1934.

The attraction of hunting goes deep in certain cultures and it is considered to be an indication of manliness. In the early days of man it was the only way for the population to survive and therefore it was the duty of every able bodied man, and even some women, to be adept at hunting. It was necessary to be able to track down and run down the animals in order to eat and the shins were also used to keep them warm.

As we progressed further up the evolutionary ladder, we found other means of finding food such as the growing of crops and the gathering of the bounties of the wild as well hunting in the waters for tasty fish. Once we had progressed even further we found that we no longer had to hunt in order to survive and so started the trend of hunting for pleasure.

This type of hunting is mainly for the benefit of the well off who see hunting as pastime in which they can combine the attractions of hunting with a vacation. You may see no attraction in hunting, but to some people it is addictive, no matter which type of hunting it is. There is bird hunting and bow hunting which is seeing a comeback these days. Africa has always been associated with big game hunting and safaris and there is a plenty of variety to choose from, from zebras to wildebeest.

The difference between a general hunter and a professional hunter Tanzania or elsewhere is that the latter hunts as a matter of earning a living and is subject to different rules and regulations, while the general hunter enjoys the pleasure of the chase and the kill of the prey.

Hunting was popular all over the world many years ago and there have arisen so many stories and legends based on hunters, hunting and tracking. Some of these show hunting in a good light whereas others show the more negative side of hunting such as exploitation and the hunting to extinction of certain species. There is a certain romance attached to hunting Tanzania way and other African countries which ensures that there is always a market for a professional hunter, Tanzania being the destination for so many tourists and businesses. Just make sure that they are ethical and competent and will follow the rules.
